If you go down to the woods today.

Little treasures along the line…………..right on our doorstep.  A little wood, Castle Eden Dene, once was the back garden of the local landowner.  His own private paradise.  But now it belongs to us, the common people.  And what a delight it is.  A voyage of discovery every time you visit.  And home to the Northern Brown Argus Butterfly to boot, one of the rarest butterflies in the UK.

I’m starting a series of photos there.  Going to spend a year exploring the wood, discovering new paths, new tales, new experiences.  And I might even spend the night there, in the summer of course, when its warm.  Everyone one should have a wood on their doorstep.
